Persephone walked silently through the park. It was night time so she wasn't worried about being seen. Even so, she made herself a dark shade of blue so she'd be harder to see. She was thinking about the things Anole and Arctic said to and about her. She sighed deeply and looked down. She was nothing but brute force. She wanted to learn more about her powers, but she didn't want to leave mystique. She had to figure something out, soon. She stopped and lifted her head as she caught a familiar scent coming her way.

Mimic was talking a relaxing walk through the park. He was already getting used to this universe. He knew sooner or later he'd have to find Xavier's. Maybe there someone could help him. He knew it was a long shot but he had to try. As he walked he picked up on Perse with his telepathy.
"Well hello there. Couldn't find any good construction sites?"

"I'm not in the mood to ruin anything, hero."
She looked away.
"And I'm not really in the mood for your quips either."
She started walking again. Her tail dragged on the ground, showing something was bothering her.

"Alright, relax Draconian."
He said slowly walking behind her. He smiled and looked around, putting his hands in his pockets.
"I know when something's wrong. They say talking about it is the best way to deal with it."

She stopped and looked down.
"And you think talking to you will help?"
She turned and looked at him. She folded her wings closer as she lightened in color. It was almost as though she hoped he'd say yes.

"Yeah, I do. I'm not an X-Man and I'm not a Brotherhood member either. I'm just....there. Think of me as neutral ground. Granted I do have allegiances to the X-men and heroes in general. But that's behind me...apparently."
He said shrugging.

She sighed a little and sat down, wrapping her tail around herself.
"I know I look impressive with my size and the claws and all. I'm really smart too and all...... but I just wish I could do more. Be more than a weak little Delta. I want to learn, but I can't leave the Brotherhood. I made a vow to serve them and I never break my vows."
She whined a little and lay down, putting her hands on her head.
"I'm just so confused."

"So what if you're a Delta? I'm Gamma, I think. Or maybe Alpha, anyways. Power level doesn't matter Draco. It's what you do with it. Using it for random destruction isn't the best way."
He said sighing and sitting down under a tree.
"As for vows, well, in my experiences the Brotherhood don't exactly honor vows."

She looked at him. Pain and confusion shone from her eyes.
"I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. I-I can't leave and if I stay I'll......"
She closed her eyes and looked away.

"You'll what? You can tell me Draconian."
He said smiling a bit. He knew he'd probably end up telling her his story. Hell, in this case it might end up working to change her mind. He liked helping. And if he could prevent her like ending up like him then so be it.

She looked at him as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"I'll have no other choice."
Her voice was quiet as she spoke. She looked down at her hands and watched her claws for a moment as they glinted in the moonlight. She looked away from her hands and shivered.

"Listen, vow or not the Brotherhood can't be trusted. I should know, I was a member for a little bit. We went to kidnap Senator Kelly and the X-Men stopped us, as usual. They abandoned me, calling me weak and left me to be arrested. Despite my anger and hatred, Xavier came and recruited me to get me out of jail. If you don't leave Draco, they'll set you up. And then you'll be stuck in jail, or worse."
He said sighing and nodding his head.

She put her hands on her head, digging her nails into her scalp.
"I can't! I just can't!"
She shook as he spoke. She wanted to believe him, but she couldn't convince herself. She couldn't just let it go.

"Come on now. If there's one thing I've learned vows, honor and your word doesn't mean crap to the Brotherhood. All they care about is their stupid mission. The mission that they'll never accomplish. There have been roughly 6 or 7 incarnations of the Brotherhood. Well, probably closer to 8 with this one now. And why do they break up? Because they get arrested. I don't care how strong you think you are, it's only a matter of time before you end up jailed. So what's more important? Your vow to some people who don't honor vows, or your freedom, your life."
He asked crossing his arms and looking over at her. He knew this would be really hard for her. But it was neccesary.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she shook her head.
"I can't do it. I have to keep it. I have to show them what I can do!"
She slammed her fist on the ground as she shook.
